Weeks 7–12, by hand

The second drill week: hypothesis tests, two-sample problems, regression, chi-square and ANOVA — the exam's last three exercises. The hardest skill is not any single computation; it is choosing the procedure from the wording. That decision tree is the week.

By the end of Week 14 you will be able to

  • Choose the test from the wording: one mean or two, paired or independent, proportion or mean, categories or numbers.
  • Run any test of the course with a rejection region and with a p-value.
  • Fit and interpret a regression line, and test its slope.
  • Read a contingency table and an ANOVA table.
